Job Interviews - Vacancies

Oh, lots of companies to choose from!!

Many companies have approached our institute to look for employees. Some have been coming every year to recruit students. The employers have faith in our students because of the good work performance of former students - reliable & hard working.

So, to help the students, EU has allocated more than one week for prospective employers to come & interview prospective employees.. One company even gave a free gift for those who attended the inteview!

After the 2nd day, many students have already been offered jobs or 2nd (short-listed) interviews.

Is this your first time going for interview?

A few tips to help you :

• Prepare a RESUME (See MS EXCEL notes)


• Think & read first before you write on the application form. Don't have TOO MANY CORRECTIONS (Blanco). It shows a careless person.


• Come in office wear - NOT shorts, t-shirt & slippers


• Take a deep breath, smile a little - be CONFIDENT!


• Listen carefully to what your interviewer is asking. Don't give the right answer to the WRONG question!

Prepare to answer these questions :

• Why did you choose to study Accounting?


• What is the job of an Accounts Clerk? (see UBS Accounting notes pg.12)


• What is your expected pay?


• Do you have any questions you would like to ask?
